Yes, guacamole is the biggest thing since sliced cheese, and for good reason. It's delicious, and it is truly a very diverse dish. Some like it with chips, the weight watchers eat it with celery, and vegans/vegetarians spread it on their toast. And did I mention how delicious it is! Did you know that in

Guacamole is something that is made in my house regularly. I make it on Tuesday Taco nights, bring some along to a party, and it is also a part of some of our breakfast recipes. Wherever it goes, it is always a hit with both adults and children. There are many recipes out there for guacamole and mine is probably just like the others, but I will share this delicious little snack with you anyway!

Ingredients:
Cilantro
1 ripe Hass Avocado
1/5 of large red onion chopped
1/4 cup tomato chopped
1/2 of a large lemon/lime
1/4 cup cilantro chopped
1 garlic clove (optional)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Cut avocado in half (length wise), open up and scoop out the inside into a bowl
2. Using a masher, or a fork, mash the avocado until it has a pasty consistency but still has some small chunks.
3. Mix in the rest of the ingredients
4. Scoop guacamole into jars and garnish with a few pieces of cilantro

This recipe is enough to make two 4 oz. jars. This is a delicious and healthy go to snack at home, on-the-go, or even great to use as a party favor as well.
Add a cuban twist and serve w/ mariquitas
